Two Men Charged for Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
